Welcome to Cover My Events. These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of the Cover My Events website and your application for and purchase of insurance products and related services through Cover My Events LLC dba Cover My Events Insurance Services (“Cover My Events,” “CME,” “we,” “us,” or “our”).
Please review these Terms carefully before submitting an insurance application or payment. By using this website and, where presented, affirmatively accepting these Terms, you agree to be bound by them.
1. About Cover My Events
Cover My Events LLC dba Cover My Events Insurance Services is a licensed insurance producer. Cover My Events is not an insurance company and does not itself underwrite or issue insurance coverage.
Cover My Events acts as an insurance broker for customers seeking event-related insurance coverage. CME may submit applications and seek placement of coverage through third-party insurance program administrators, brokers, purchasing groups, insurers, and other insurance-market participants.
Insurance coverage available through CME may be issued by admitted or nonadmitted insurers, depending upon the applicable insurance program and transaction.
2. Insurance Applications and Accuracy of Information
You are responsible for providing complete and accurate information when requesting or applying for insurance through CME.
By submitting an application, you represent, to the best of your knowledge and belief after reasonable inquiry, that the information you provide is true, complete, and accurate.
You must promptly notify CME if information provided in your application materially changes before coverage becomes effective. A material change may affect eligibility, pricing, coverage terms, or CME's ability to obtain the requested insurance.
CME and the insurance parties involved in the placement may rely upon the information you provide when evaluating your application and determining whether coverage can be offered.
Submitting an application does not obligate an insurer or insurance program to accept the risk or issue coverage.
3. Authorization to Procure Insurance
By submitting an insurance application through Cover My Events, you authorize CME to use the information you provide to seek, procure, and facilitate placement of the insurance coverage you selected.
This authorization includes submitting application and event information to insurance program administrators, brokers, purchasing groups, insurers, and other parties reasonably necessary to evaluate the application, obtain coverage, issue insurance documents, and service the insurance transaction.
You authorize CME to communicate with those parties on your behalf in connection with your application and placement of the requested coverage.
4. Payment Does Not Constitute Binding
Submitting an application or payment to CME does not, by itself, mean that insurance coverage has been accepted, bound, or issued.
After receiving your application and payment, CME will submit the information necessary to seek placement of the insurance coverage you selected.
Coverage becomes effective only after the application or risk has been accepted and coverage has been bound by the applicable insurer or its authorized representative.
Until coverage has been accepted and bound, you should not assume that insurance coverage is in effect.
Once coverage has been accepted and bound, CME will provide or arrange delivery of the applicable insurance documents.
5. If Coverage Cannot Be Obtained
If your application is not accepted and CME is unable to bind the insurance coverage you purchased, CME will refund the amount you paid to CME in full.
Issuing a refund does not create insurance coverage and does not obligate CME, an insurance program, or an insurer to provide coverage.
6. Cancellation and Refunds After Binding
Once your application has been accepted and insurance coverage has been bound, amounts paid to CME are non-refundable, except where a cancellation or refund right is required by applicable law or provided by the controlling insurance documents.
You should carefully review your event information, event dates, location, coverage selection, limits, deductible, and other application information before submitting your application.
7. Risk Purchasing Group and Insurance Program
Certain event liability insurance available through CME may be provided through the Promotion, Event and Prize Purchasing Group (“Purchasing Group”) or another applicable insurance program.
Obtaining applicable coverage may include membership in the Purchasing Group and participation in its insurance program.
Membership in and participation through a purchasing group may be subject to a separate Membership Agreement and other program documents. Those documents may contain additional provisions regarding membership, insurance-program participation, applicable dues or charges, coverage, cancellation, dispute resolution, and other terms.
